HOORAY FOR JOSHUA!!!

Photo 184

It’s official—Josh is an ISYS major! He’s known that’s what he wants to do since he returned from his mission, and how’s he officially in the program! Congratulations, Josh! And (if I can brag about Josh for a bit) he not only got accepted to the Information Systems program, but also to the Marriott management program! He’s so smart. Also, did you know that about 300 people apply to the program every year, and only about 160 get in? It’s a competitive program in the business school, and now Josh is part of it! We’re very happy, and I’m very proud of Josh, and he’s excited to start the major this fall. So way to go, Josh!

Josh: “Awww, shucks…” ;-)

Scooter Lessons

So with summer here and winter long gone, we’ve been using a great scooter to get around Provo. Josh figured it was time to teach Paige how to ride, so one sunny day during finals week, Josh taught Paige how to ride the scooter. Paige’s mom was in town (which was really fun!), and she snapped some very professional pictures. Hope you enjoy! (pictures courtesy of melellphotography ;-) Click on an image to see it larger.)

Winter is Over, Spring is Here!

Yes, after a long set of winter semester classes, spring has finally arrived! We’re excited about the warm weather, the fun times ahead, and especially the fact that we’re done with a set of classes! Josh is taking two classes this spring and then (finally!) taking a break during summer classes. Paige is just working all spring and summer. Here are a few recent pictures. Hope you enjoy!

Here’s Josh studying for his last final! (He did well, too!) Way to go, Josh!

Here’s the zippy little scooter we’ll be cruising around on this summer. Who needs a car when you’ve got this? ;-)

The pretty tulips growing outside our house (even prettier because they came up all on their own)

Paige’s Poor Eye

The day Josh and I got married was by far the best day of my life! It was perfect, and we were so happy the whole day, glad to be surrounded by family and friends, and elated to start our life together.

If anything was even close to not perfect, it was when we were leaving the wedding reception. Everyone had formed a pathway of people and bubbles leading to our car. Oh, how pretty! Oh, how magical! Until…well, let’s take a look. We just got our wedding pictures back, and they reveal all:

Exhibit A. Walking out the doors. Note how happy we look! Note Paige’s two eyes (pre-incident), both open and beaming. (And Josh is having lots of fun, too.)

Exhibit B. The incident. A well-timed bubble hit me right in the eye! Note my pained and surprised expression.

Exhibit C. Me trying to pass it off as nothing. Yes, I tried to grin and bear it, but note my right eye, painfully closed (and, really, it did hurt!).

So there you have it! Caught by digital imaging, Paige’s painful eye incident the day of our wedding. Luckily, no long-term damage was sustained, because the bubble soap all rinsed out later, and then Josh and I laughed about it. And we laughed even more when we got these pictures! Hope you enjoy them, too! (Oh, and more wedding pictures are coming soon!)
